Laboratory furniture ranges

Benches and casework, fume hoods, storage and safety cabinets — plus the stainless work, service fittings and one-off items a complete room needs. All built to your dimensions, in your finish, for your project.

Product overview

Everything for the room, made in-house

Benches, hoods and storage share the same worktops, plinths and service fittings — so a room specified from one supplier lines up, both visually and at the pipework.

Beyond the core ranges

Most projects start with benches, hoods or storage, but a finished laboratory needs more than that. The same factory also builds:

  • Stainless steel work tables, sinks and wash stations
  • Extraction ducting, blowers and make-up air
  • Balance benches, pegboards and drying racks
  • Island service spines, taps, gas valves and power trunking
  • Ductless filtered hoods, canopy hoods and walk-in rooms
  • One-off items from your drawings — no catalogue required

Specifying a laboratory for the first time? Our Insights section covers how worktops, hoods and storage are normally chosen — worth reading before the BOQ is fixed.

Materials

Choose the worktop by what you put on it

The worktop usually decides how long a bench lasts. Here is how the four options compare for overseas projects.

Phenolic resin12.7 mm or 16 mm. Resists most acids, solvents and heat to about 180 °C. The default choice for general and teaching labs.
Epoxy resin16 mm or 19 mm. Stronger against heat and aggressive acids than phenolic; heavier and more expensive. Specify for digestion and high-temperature work.
Ceramic20 mm. Scratch and heat resistant, easy to clean, but chips on impact. Common in Asian and European research labs.
Stainless steel 304 / 3161.2 mm over a substrate. Non-porous and easy to sanitise; 316 for chloride and cleanroom environments.
